DIOVAN 160 MG 28 TAB

DIOVAN 160MG TABLET belongs to a hypotensive drug called angiotensin receptor II antagonist used to treat hypertension (hypertension). In addition, DIOVAN 160MG TABLET is used to treat heart failure and prevent heart attacks. Blood puts pressure on the walls of blood vessels, causing high blood pressure. Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to the rest of the body. A heart attack or stroke is a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle. 

DIOVAN 160MG TABLET contains 'valsartan' that works by blocking the effect of angiotensin II receptors which tighten the blood vessels, causing a rise in the blood pressure. By blocking the effect of angiotensin II receptors, DIOVAN 160MG TABLET makes it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts by relaxing and widening the blood vessels. Thereby, helps in lowering the blood pressure to normal.

Take DIOVAN 160MG TABLET with or without food. Swallow DIOVAN 160MG TABLET as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. You are advised to take DIOVAN 160MG TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently. 

Try not to stop taking it on your own as it may cause sudden increase the blood pressure. If you are pregnant, do not take DIOVAN 160MG tablets as they can harm your unborn baby. If you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking DIOVAN 160mg tablets. DIOVAN 160MG TABLET is not recommended for children under 6 years of age due to its unestablished efficacy and safety. Drive the DIOVAN 160MG tablet with caution as it can cause dizziness. Avoid alcohol consumption as it can lead to increased dizziness. Tell your doctor about all the medicines and medical conditions you are taking  to avoid unpleasant side effects.

• Take DIOVAN 160MG tablets with or without food. Swallow the entire DIOVAN 160MG tablet with a glass of water and do not crush, break or chew the tablet. Your doctor will tell you when to take DIOVAN 160MG tablets based on your medical condition.
