ALDACTONE 100 MG Tablet

Aldactone 100 Tablet is a medicine known as a diuretic (water pill). It is mainly used in the treatment of heart failure and high blood pressure. It reduces the swelling (edema) caused by some other conditions. This medicine is also used to treat low potassium levels in the body (hypokalemia). 

Aldactone 100 Tablet should be taken with food at the same time each day to get the most benefit. Taken early in the day, you don't have to wake up often to go to the bathroom at night. Even if you feel good, take it as prescribed. If you stop taking it, you may feel sick. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the type and amount of water you should drink. If you are being treated for high blood pressure, you can increase the effectiveness of this medicine by changing your lifestyle, such as regular exercise or by changing your diet, such as a low-salt diet. 

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, swelling and tenderness of the breast (male and female). If these bother you, or appear serious, let your doctor know. You should be careful about using Aldactone 100 Tablet if you have kidney problems or are unable to urinate. Pregnant or lactating women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. While using this medicine, you may be advised to limit your intake of salt or salt substitutes and check your blood pressure frequently. Several other tests, such as renal function (such as creatinine) and potassium levels, are done to monitor progress.
