NOVORAPID FLEXPEN 5X3 ML READY INJ.
NOVORAPID FLEXPEN contains insulin aspart, a fast-acting insulin. It is used to manage diabetes (carbohydrate diabetes) in adults, adolescents and children from 1 year of age. Diabetes is a condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin to control blood sugar levels. 15-20 minutes after the injection, this medicine will start lowering your blood sugar level. Its greatest effect occurs 1-3 hours after injection and lasts 3-5 hours. Due to its fast-acting and short-acting properties, this drug is usually taken in combination with other intermediate-acting or long-acting insulin preparations.
Always use the medicine as directed by your doctor and adjust your dose. It is usually taken just before meals. It can be taken with or without food. Must be injected subcutaneously. Tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems. Do not give this medicine for children below 1 year of age. The common side effect of this medicine is low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia). Avoid alcohol consumption, since it may also lead to a fall in your blood sugar levels.
